Competency Based Learning 101: Purpose-Driven is the second course in a multi-course professional learning series on Competency Based Learning. While it follows Introduction to Competency Based Learningthe introductory course is not a prerequisite, and participants may complete this course independently. The course may also be taken in conjunction with synchronous participation in the Whole Student Development Network, or it may be taken as a stand-alone professional learning experience.


The Act 45 course is designed as follows:

17 Instructional Hours (synchronous and/or asynchronous)

13 Job-embedded hours

30 Total Hours


Note: Throughout this series, Competency-Based Education and Competency-Based Learning are used interchangeably.
